The College & Career Center (CCC) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive, developmental counseling program. The focus of this program is on the student’s academic, career, personal, and social development. University of Arizona Next Steps Visit on Monday, March 4th, 2024 Seniors, are you planning to attend the University of Arizona in the fall? If so, please plan to attend a lunch meeting to learn about the necessary next steps.
Guest speakers needed! February is Career Month at Horizon Honors, and we are looking for guest speakers! We believe our students will benefit from exposure to a wide variety of careers as they consider options for the future.   We are looking for guest speakers throughout the month of February. We would love to have you discuss your career and share any insights with our students. Presentations will take place in individual classes of approximately 15-30 students. ASU Barrett Rep Visit! Learn about the benefits of Barrett, the honors college at ASU. Find out about the application process. Ask any other questions about ASU or Barrett. Thursday, 9/21/23. Our ASU Barrett rep will be at both lunches.
Dual enrollment registration is now open! Students should refer to the Dual Enrollment Google Classroom for all of the details and registration steps. Deadlines: Register by 9/8/23 Apply for Maricopa Grant by 9/8/23 Make payment (or set up payment plan) by 9/20/23. Reach out to Mrs. Tagle or your student's dual enrollment teacher with any questions. You may also contact South Mountain Community College directly at dual.enrollment@southmountaincc.edu.
Dual enrollment application workshop! If you are taking a dual enrollment class for the first time, please come to the dual enrollment application workshop this Friday. Dual enrollment meeting taking place on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in the MPR. Come to learn all about dual enrollment and how to register and pay for classes. Eligible classes include College Algebra Honors, AP Precalculus Honors, College Math Foundations Honors, Exercise Science Honors, Advanced Composition Honors, AP English Literature and Composition Honors.
Our admissions representative from the University of Arizona will be on campus on Wednesday, 8/16, during both lunches. She is eager to meet our students, talk to you about the U of A, and answer any questions. Stop by and say hello! Photo of a college.
